Dr Thurston was born in Illinois and later moved to Clearwater at the age of 14 years old. He attended and graduated from Clearwater High School and later Florida University with Distinction. His ongoing commitment to continued education drives the entire Encompass staff to remain operating at the highest level of communication, business and dentistry.

About Dr. Thurston
Dr. Thurston hails from Clearwater, FL, and completed his dental education at the University of Florida in 1979. He founded Thurston Comprehensive Dental Center in Auburndale, Fl in May 1980, and has been devoted to Implant Dentistry since 1989.
As a dedicated practitioner, he's passionate about teaching,
mentoring, and imparting his vast knowledge and experience to younger associates Dr. Duke and Dr. Vik. At what is now Encompass Dental and Wellness,
he is able to cultivate a culture of high-performance dentistry among his team, which is often missing in the current landscape.

Outside of his work, Dr Thurston has a penchant for travel, often taking to the roads in his motor home or cruising around on his motorcycle. He also has a deep love for college sports.
